CAU-FUDAN Dual-Degree Program

Overview

CAU-Fudan Dual-Degree Program is for Global MBA students who seek broader exposure to global business education. Structured in two phases, students will study the first year at Chung-Ang University and the second year at Fudan University in Shanghai, China.
Global MBA students have the option to complete a dual-dregree program at Fudan University in China after completing at least two semesters of the dual-degree program. In the first year, students study business management at Chung-Ang University Graduate School of Business, and in the second year, they gain expertise in the field of management at the prestigious Fudan University in Shanghai, China. Students will complete the English-instructed Master in Chinese Economy (EMA) course which consists of the following:
1) History of the Chinese Economy and Political Economics
2) Taxation and legislation
3) Industrial Policy
4) Regulations on investment and trade
Students can choose to pursue either the Master of Finance or the master of International Business, specialized in Chinese Economy upon completion of their studies at Fudan University. Students will be awarded both an MBA degree from Chung-Ang University and a master of Finance or Master of International Business from Fudan University.
However, to complete the second year of study at Fudan University, students must have a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 90 or IELTS Level 6.5, and complete four credits of Chinese language during their exchange at Fudan University.

Curriculum

To successfully complete the program, students must earn 45 credits from both Chung-Ang University and Fudan University.

In the first year, you will take 24 credits of business administration-related basic core courses at Chung-Ang University’s Graduate School of Business, and in the second year, you will take 18 credits of courses specialized in emerging markets in China along with economics and management through the EMA course offered by Fudan University.

However, unlike in Korea, Chinese universities only admit new students in September, so Fudan University is only open for the fall semester. Students who are admitted to the spring semester of the Chung-Ang University Graduate School of Business and wish to pursue a dual degree at Fudan University must either take one semester off from studying at Chung-Ang University or complete three semesters at Chung-Ang University. However, if you complete three semester at Chung-Ang University and then two semesters at Fudan University, you will not be eleigible for the Chung-Ang University scholarship for the fifth semester.
