CAU-FUDAN Dual-Degree Program

Overview

CAU-Fudan Dual-Degree Program is for Global MBA students who seek broader exposure to global business education. Structured in two phases, students will study the first year at Chung-Ang University and the second year at Fudan University in Shanghai, China.
During the first year at Chung-Ang University, students are expected to build foundation for successful completion of the dual-degree program. For MBA degree awarded by Chung-Ang University, students should take courses for general management knowledge. On top of those courses, they should also take courses that help prepare for graduation thesis required by Fudan University.
The courses offered at Fudan focus on a variety of themes relating to international business and finance. The courses include, but are not limited to, modern Chinese economic theory, international trade, financial systems, etc. Students will gain the political and cultural knowledge necessary for understanding the Chinese Economy/Finance on an interdisciplinary level.
On top of successfully passing the courses offered at Chung-Ang University and Fudan University, students must write and successfully defend their graduation thesis. During their first year at Chung-Ang University, students should find an advisor and start preparing for their graduation thesis.
Completing the courses, students will receive two master's degrees; a Master of Business Administration (awarded by Chung-Ang University), and either a Master of International Business or Master of Finance (awarded by Fudan University).
CAU Graduate School of Business plans to build additional dual-degree agreements with other prestigious universities worldwide. Global MBA program aims to establish itself as an ideal MBA program demanded by numerous domestic and international companies seeking talents suitable for expanding to global markets.

Curriculum

Program Structure and Required Course Credits

To successfully complete the program and receive degrees from both Chung-Ang University and Fudan University, students in the program must satisfy graduation requirements from both universities. For MBA degree from Chung-Ang University, students must take 45 credit hours. For degrees from Fudan University, students must take 36 credit hours for Master of International business degree and 39 credit hours for Master in Finance degree.
In the first year at Chung-Ang University, students must take 24 credit hours. In the second year at Fudan University, students may take 22 credit hours. The internship requirement for the degree from Fudan University counts for 4 credit hours, and students can choose to do internship either in Korea or in China. In total, students will earn 47 credit hours based on the proposed schedule.
Students must also write an original Master’s thesis, and successfully defend their thesis for Fudan University degrees.
